Immortals Fenyx Rising is one of Ubisoft’s most ambitious projects ever, and the game has a lot to offer for the players out there. As players explore the massive open-world and the varied biomes, they encounter several enemies and need to solve some tricky puzzles to progress in the game. With so much in store, the difficulty options play a crucial role in the gameplay experience.
When you start a new game, you get to choose between Story, Easy, Normal, and Hard difficulty levels. You can select any of these depending on what difficulty you prefer to play the game in. The last difficulty level, Nightmare, is locked until you finish the game at least once.
If you would like to lower or increase the difficulty level after starting the game, it is possible. All you need to do is go to the Options menu and change the Difficulty level under the Gameplay tab. Do note that you need to reload the game for the difficulty change to take effect. You can simply head back to the Title screen from the Pause menu and then start the game again.
The difficulty level in Immortals Fenyx Rising is not only tied to the strength of the enemies, but many other options are influenced by it as well. Health Regeneration, Stamina Regeneration, Fall Damage, and Myth Challenge Assistance are affected depending on your choice.
At higher difficulty levels, only a chunk of your health bar is regenerated, while in the Story mode, the entire health bar restores automatically over time. Similarly, Stamina Regeneration and Myth Challenge Assistance decreases with an increase in difficulty level, while Fall Damage increases. You can find the complete difficulty options below.
