Fighting in a war is costly, and in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, you need every rupee you can get to fund your forces. It can be a taxing process to acquire enough, but it’s not too difficult to find quick methods to quickly increase your rupee supply.

Repeat missions

Much like how you go out of your way to level some of your new characters in Age of Calamity, you can repeat older missions to acquire rupees. You can do it with characters who haven’t reached the level of your strongest character, increasing the usefulness of all your forces and earning more rupees for your strong pile.

Sell older weapons

You want to pick and choose what weapons you sell and which ones you want to keep for fusing. However, the ones that don’t help you at all, and you’re hurting for rupees, it’s a good idea to toss the lower level weapons you don’t need anymore. Plus, if you need materials to unlock a quest, it’s a good idea to sacrifice them. Again, you can always repeat missions and grind through earlier levels to earn more.

Sell monster parts to specific merchants

Much like the extra weapons you have, if there are several monster parts you don’t use, look for a merchant to buy them off you. When visiting merchants, look to see if they have a small star next to any of the selling categories. The star signifies that there’s a buying bonus, so the merchant is willing to spend more money any items you sell them from that category. You always want to double check to see if that star is there to maximize the amount of rupees you receive from merchants whenever you visit them.

Side quests

You have your traditional story missions to complete to progress through the game, but there are also side quests you have the option to complete. If you go out of your way to complete these optional tasks, you’ll be able to earn a few more rupees along the way, so it never hurts to collect them, even if they don’t make the biggest splash in your coin purse.
